| Keystone Ski Resort is comprised of three different mountains, Dercum, North Peak and the Outback and together makes one Colorado?s largest ski areas. The resort was developed by the Ralston Purina Corporation but is now owned by Vail Resorts, so if you own an ?Epic Pass? you can ski at Keystone. Before the housing bust, Keystone was renovated by Intrawest real estate who developed a new base facility called River Run so they could sell 3000 new condominiums / hotel rooms making it ready for vacations. Designed like Disney?s Main Street with an old turn of the century and western flair, when you plan your vacation, you will want to not only ski Keystone, but Arapahoe Basin, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain and some of the other ski areas in Colorado that are all close together. The Keystone ski resort area is made up of 135 total runs, with 19% beginner, 32% intermediate and 49% advanced/expert runs with the longest run being 3.5 miles and the total vertical 3120 feet. But skiing isn?t just what Keystone is about. You can pamper yourself in a spa, dine in fabulous award winning restaurants, ice skate on the largest maintained outdoor skating rink ? 5 acres wide, or be juys be pampered . Hotels in Keystone are most likely condo / hotels so you will have petite kitchens, fireplaces and suite style accommodations. |
